Welcome to The Furnace Kenosha

At The Furnace, we strive to create a warm and welcoming environment where anyone can come together to worship, grow in the knowledge of the Word, experience the power of the Holy Spirit, and have fellowship with other like-minded Followers of Christ. Our church is dedicated to serving the Kenosha Area Community through prayer and intercession and also going into the community to minister to those in need.

Wednesday Nights:

Our Wednesday Night Study currently meets with Men only.  We will discuss what a man's role is today.  What his purpose is.  What God intended.  We believe when men know their role and operate in it, families will flourish, the church, and society in general from our influence.  Join us!  Wednesdays @ 7pm. Call or email for Home location.

The Furnace Now Meets in Homes!

Worship

The Furnace is a place of worship!

"Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.” John 4:23-24

Edification of the Believer

We teach the Word of God.  Jesus said go and make Disciples, not converts.  We may teach the basics of Christianity, but we want Followers of Christ to know their Father in Heaven and deep spiritual knowledge that comes only through the Holy Spirit.  Yes, we believe in the power of the Spirit, and teach His Gifts given to men and women.

Prayer

We are a House of Prayer.  We pray that Heaven will be evident on Earth.  We pray for people, we pray for our city, and we pray for our region and nations.  Dates are set for Intercession with fasting to see a move of God in the Church of Jesus Christ.

Frequently Asked Questions

What time are your worship services?

Actually we call them gatherings.  Places were those in Christ gather together to love on each other, take care of each other's needs, Worship together, Pray together, get into the Word of God together, break bread together. Allow the Holy Spirit to do His thing in our midst. We have left the traditonal mold the church has created and have gone back to the original model being free in the Spirit.

Do you have other ministries?

Yes we do! Our men meet weekly on Wednesdays for discipleship and growth.  Monthly for Men's Breakfast.  The women meet for breakfasts, and other events.  We meet to pray for others and the Kenosha Farmer's Market, and other events when scheduled to minister to the community.

Do you have ministry for children?

The children stay with the parents during our weekly gatherings.  We have that they are listening and are invloved even when it appears thay are not. You would be surprised what our kids know.  At times we do break away with the children with additonal studies.

From the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven has suffered violence, and the violent take it by force. Matthew 11:12-13

About us

In March 2008, the Williams family was in a state of transition. The family was living in Louisiana and was being called back to Wisconsin.  In the weeks before the move, Pastor Brad Williams was in prayer, and the Holy Spirit gave him a vision of a church that would be directed primarily to reach individuals who wanted more.  A generation of Believers who would set themselves apart to God to foster an awakening of truly living out the Word of God in the area.  The church would be an Acts 2 Church in form and nature.  These believers would live, speak, and manifest the power and anointing of the Holy Spirit.  The Gifts of the Spirit would be evident in their lives.  The church would be a House of Prayer. A church of intercessors; a church that moved the heart of God with a people that knew the heart of God.  In the Fall of 2016, The Furnace came into being.  Truly an act of faith that God will do what He said He will do.

The Furnace has been inspired by other Houses of Prayer as well as Pastor Brad pastoring at Prayer House AG with friend and mentor Ron Auch Sr who has gone to be with the Lord. The Furnace is an independent Spirit Filled church that is committed to pray for the release of the fullness of God’s power and purpose, as well as actively winning the lost, making disciples, healing the sick, prophesying, interceding, feeding the poor, and impacting every sphere of society in our region. Our vision is to work in relationship with the wider Body of Christ to engage in the Great Commission.

In the Summer of 2025, the Elders of The Furnace who had been praying for months, decided it was time to break away from church tradition and move from a lecture style programmed service to the original design of the early church and move into homes.  In the home there is more intimacy, more involvement, individuals who attend all being involved in the gathering fostering more of their gifts and growing in the Word of God to prepare all for the Great Commission as they are out in living their daily lives.  It is back to the basics.  Elders edifying the church for the work of the ministry.  All participants ready to influence for the sake of the Gospel.
